Leave It In God's Hands
It's quite common for some dear people who've prayed to God regarding a particular problem or trial to then proceed to try and figure out how best God could, or is, going to remedy or resolve the problem or trial they are experiencing.
They become curious, so they try and figure out in their own minds, by way of their own thinking, the eventual outcome of the problem before God has actually answered them, and they wonder how quickly God will attend to their prayer request.
This actually is futile thinking, for no matter how hard we try to figure out the end result, no matter how quickly we think God will answer our prayer request, God's responce time or solution is always far removed and far superior to any solution we could possibly think of.
Think on this, if a little child was to ask their father to help them solve a problem, do you think the parent would resolve that problem in the same manner as the little child's way of thinking? No of course not, and neither would our Heavenly Father.
Something else to think about...what if God's answer to your prayer request was "NO, just leave things as they are". Would you have come up with an answer like that when you were trying to figure out a possible result in your mind?
So when asking God for help, the better tendency for us would actually be to let go, and let God.
After all we are asking God for His help and advice. We are handing over the problem to God for Him to deal with, so it's a case of stepping back, letting go and letting Him get on with it.
The tendency to think how best God could help us is of course a perfectly normal reaction, and it's a reaction I used to practice myself, however it's a practice that's well worth working on to overcome.
So...Leave your life in God's hands.
