My Big Mouth.

You know what it's like, you've just opened your mouth and the words just oh so easily slip off your tongue.
The words are no sooner out of your mouth when you realize you have just put your foot right in it and you want the floor to open up and swallow you for making such a stupid statement.

You want to say something to ease your pain and to remedy your thoughtlessness but you realize that by saying anything else you will only make matters worse for yourself.

We have all been there at some time in our lives have we not. But really, is there anything we can do to rectify the situation when we realize that even an apology would make things worse. After all perhaps the listner didn't think what you think they think. "Perhaps it didn't sound too bad". No chance, it was bad and you know it.

Well of course there is something we can do about it. We can say a silent prayer immediately. We can ask God for forgiveness for making such a stupid remark. Say it, He will listen.

Then, when we have the full opportunity we can say a proper prayer asking God to remove your words from the persons mind and help them to forget it.
